“My business is mobile so I can come to your home, office or gym. Although I’ve trained hundreds and hundreds of people, I work with each client on an individual basis, focusing on achieving long-term results through challenging and appropriately varied workouts. Because of the training techniques I use, expensive equipment is unnecessary and I can bring all the equipment you need to each session.”

His expertise includes sport-specific training, sports nutrition, pre and post-rehab exercise, postural correction, weight control, pre and post-natal fitness, general fitness, exercise for special medical conditions, endurance sport coaching and more. He is known for his use of functional training and his commitment to developing and implementing innovative fitness techniques. Jon's dynamic approach and humor only add to the effectiveness of the experience his clients enjoy.

With a client base as diverse as his training methods, Jon emphasizes strength training modalities that can be transferred from the gym to daily life, from training camp to championship. Although he is currently preparing multiple athletes in a variety of sports for World and National Championship competition, including the Olympics, Jon trains “normal” people as well, from business executives to housewives, who want to make a change, many of whom work with him year round.

His devotion to pursuing and communicating only the most credible and effective fitness information have resulted in television spots on Channel 3 (WFSB), regular presentations at The Princeton Club of New York, Wild Oats in West Hartford and the Taking Care Center in Hartford. He is also the official trainer and cycling coach for the Connecticut MS Society charity bicycle tours.

Jon got involved in the fitness industry a little over 12 years ago through his own struggles with weight loss. Jon was clinically obese (almost 240 lbs. with a body fat of over 30%) and disgusted with the way he looked and felt. Fed up, Jon joined a gym, did considerable research on nutrition and exercise, and sought the advice of other gym-goers who had been successful with their fitness. As a result, he was able to lose over 50 lbs. in about six months and has kept it off for over 12 years and running. It is this experience that moved Jon into a career in fitness and also what helps make him so effective as a professional fitness trainer and coach.
